Horse Shoe Cookies Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 lb. nuts
1/4 lb.Crisco
1 cup milk
4 cups flour
1 yeast cake
1/4 lb. butter
Pinch salt
PreparationHeat milk to warm; temperature and then add yeast. When completely dissolved add to flour, butter, and Crisco. Mix well
Make little balls of batter and roll out. In another bowl mix sugar and nuts together.
Fill the rolled dough with nut mixture and roll closed in horse shoe shape. Let them rise for 10 minutes
Bake at 350 until lightly brown.Serve
After taking the cookies out of the oven sprinkle with confectionery sugar and serve as a cookie.
