ONE GALLO EASTER CAKE

Ingredients

12 eggs
¼ cup butter melted
¼ cup "Crisco" melted
1 cup sugar
2 yeast cakes melted in ¼ cup of warm water
1 lemon grated

Preparation

Beat the eggs, sugar, melted butter, butter, and yeast

Add flour as you make a nice dough, not too hard to handle
Let it rise in a warm place
Divide the dough in a greased pan - should be about 2 or 3 sponge cake pans
Bake at 275 to 300 degress for 1 hour or until done

This recipe can be divided in half - 6 eggs....

Serve

For a fancy presentation, add 2 tablespoons of brandy to recipe
